Juan De Fuca

Nestled on the West coast of Vancouver Island, the Juan De Fuca trail is often overlooked by it's bigger (and much more famous) brother the West Coast Trail. But despite not being as famous, this hike still has a lot to offer. Being woken up by Sea Lions, the sound of the sea thudding into underwater caves, huge suspension bridges and beautiful coast. This trail is 48km long, and can be done in 3 days (although 4 is recommended). The best time of year to do the hike is Later June to Early September, outside of these months the large amount of rain the coast receives can cause the trail to be extremely water logged (as in, "I just lost my boot in waist high mud" water logged).
